5052 aluminum plate is an AL-Mg series alloy aluminum plate, in which magnesium is the main alloying element of 5052 alloy aluminum plate. It is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum, which has high strength, especially anti-fatigue strength. It has high plasticity and corrosion resistance, cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, and has good plasticity during semi-cold work hardening, but low plasticity during cold work hardening. It has good corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor machinability, and can be polished.

AL-Mn series alloy is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum, which has high strength, especially anti-fatigue strength. The composition of the aluminum alloy is as follows:

aluminum (Al) as the main component with a balance;
silicon (Si) at 0.25%;
copper (Cu) at 0.10%;
magnesium (Mg) at 2.2-2.8%;
zinc (Zn) at 0.10%;
manganese (Mn) at 0.10%;
chromium (Cr) at 0.15-0.35%;
iron (Fe) at 0.40%.

The tensile strength (σb) ranges from 170 to 305 MPa.
The conditional yield strength σ0.2 (MPa) is ≥65.
The elastic modulus (E) is 69.3-70.7 GPa.
The annealing temperature is 345°C.

The thickness of the aluminum plate ranges from 0.15 mm to 50 mm, with a width of 100 mm to 2000 mm and a length of 1000 mm to 9000 mm. The thickness of the aluminum coil ranges from 0.05 mm to 15 mm, with a width of 15 mm to 2000 mm.

 

5052 aluminum sheet is a representative aluminum sheet of the 5 series. 5052 is an Al-Mg series rust-resistant aluminum alloy that cannot be heat-treated for strengthening. Its chemical composition is similar to that of the 5A02 alloy, and its properties are basically the same as those of 5A02. The alloy has high plasticity and low strength, and good corrosion resistance and welding properties. However, the cutting performance of the alloy is poor in the annealed state.
